LCSC cross country teams have strong performances to open the season

LEWISTON, ID - The LCSC cross country teams seem to be getting better and better with every race.

They were both represented in the first regular season edition of their respective NAIA coaches' top 25 polls. The men were ranked 10th and the women 16th heading into this weekend's Erik Anderson Invitational in Spokane. LCSC had last weekend off after strong performances at the Clash of the Inland Northwest to open the season on August 31st. The warrior men received 394 points from the nationwide poll of coaches, slotting them six points behind number nine Cal State San Marcos. As for the women, they extended their national record streak of consecutive poll appearances to 116 after being ranked 16th in Tuesday's list, five points behind Taylor in Indiana.
