LCSC golfer Heather Bruce named first team All-America

LEWISTON, ID - Right after two local baseball players received big honors, a different athlete from the same school receives the same honor.

Lewis-Clark State College women's golfer Heather Bruce was named a first team All-America selection after her stellar season. The senior from Enterprise, Oregon helped the Warriors to a 13th place finish at the NAIA national championship in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She was a repeat winner of the Frontier Conference's 'Player of the Year' award in her final collegiate season as well. She finished the season with a stroke average of 74.9 in eight rounds of league competition, and shot a season-best round of 69 on the first day of the Whitman Spring Invite on April 19th. Bruce received three Frontier Conference 'Player of the Week' awards, and was named to the league's All-Academic team after graduating with a degree in business administration.
