LCSC ranks 11th in Learfield Sports Director's Cup final poll

LEWISTON, ID - Now that it's summer, the final poll is out that let's us know how athletic our local state college is.

After being ranked 15th in the second-to-last poll, Lewis-Clark State College jumped to an 11th-place finish among the NAIA's nearly 300 schools in the final edition of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. It is the highest finish for Lewis-Clark State in the overall standings since placing eighth following the 2001-2002 season, and a three-spot improvement over its14th-place showing last year.

The Warriors' NAIA record 23rd appearance in the championship game of the 2014 World Series netted the program 90 points toward its total. World Series participant Oklahoma Baptist took the number one spot this year.
