LCSC Warrior Lavalli drafted by Texas Rangers

LEWISTON, ID - The major league baseball first-year player draft is now officially over, and a player that helped the LCSC Warriors dominate all season has been selected.

LCSC right fielder Cody Lavalli was selected in the 37th round of the draft by the Texas Rangers on Saturday afternoon. The junior was the 1,120th pick overall. Lavalli earned NAIA honorable mention All-American honors after finishing the season ranked in the nation's top 50 in twelve statistical categories.

Lewis-Clark State has now had a total of 122 players selected in the draft since 1975, and has had at least one player selected every year since 1978.
