Idaho senior forward Stephen Madison earned his third Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the season on Monday.
He dropped a career-high 35 points to go with 10 rebounds and two assists against Montana last Saturday. It was the second half where he caused the most damage, scoring 25 of his 35 points on 7-of-9 shooting and also grabbing eight of his 10 boards. It was the third double-double of the season for Madison. Madison leads Idaho with 17.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game and shoots a team-best 47.7% from the field.
The Vandals open up Western Athletic Conference play at home against Kansas City on January second and will host Chicago State on January fourth.
