No hits allowed in Eugene
Eugene, OR —
Washington State baseball made history on Sunday.
No Oregon Duck could get a hit on senior Scotty Sunitsch in WSU’s 7-0 victory.
This is just the 25th no-hitter in school history and he’s the first person to accomplish this feat in nine innings since 1976.
There have been three no-hitters since then but they were all played in seven innings.
Despite the incredible performance, Washington State still lost the series two games to one against the Ducks.
Wazzu will be back home this weekend, hosting the California Golden Bears.
