The University of Idaho football team played in the Kibbie Dome for the first time this fall in a mock game with some hard hitting. The super scrimmage pitted the first team offense against the second and third string defenses while the number one defense took on the second and third strings of the offense.
Though nothing is official still, redshirt freshman Chad Challich took a majority of the snaps at quarterback, and he looked pretty stellar. Coach Paul Petrino is just about prepared for game one.
"Well, I think every game is exciting, you better think that every game is a winnable opponent," said Petrino. "I'm sure they think they're going to beat us too. It's just a matter of getting ready to play and going out there and playing every play as hard as you can, improving as the game goes on. I think that's one big thing that we've talked about from day one that we're going to get better every day. I think early in the season we have to get better as the games go on."
Their first game that we have been speaking about so much will be against North Texas, the 'Mean Green' on August 31st.
