U of I Football adds speedy addition to team

MOSCOW, ID - If the phrase "speed kills" is somewhat true, then the UI football team might have a pair of offensive assassins on the team.

The Vandals have a couple speedy summer additions to the team in junior receiver Dezmon Epps and freshman running back Richard Montgomery. Head coach Paul Petrino has been impressed with Montgomery's ability to quickly run up the middle or fly outside the tackles and Epps's speed to burn just about any corner-back. If you know anything about the 40-yard dash, you'll be impressed at what these guys run.

"Yeah, I clocked a four-three-two, my fastest forty was a four-two-nine but I'm off and on with a four-three, a low four-three...might run a four-four on an off day," said Epps.

A four-four on a good day would certainly be nice for the rest of us. The Vandals will play a mock game, or somewhat of a super scrimmage this Friday in the Kibbie Dome.
