The scrimmages have started in the college football realm as the University of Idaho Vandals held their first of the fall on Saturday. Though the offense had a good showing, scoring ten touchdowns and two field goals, that doesn't mean the defense wasn't doing big things.
Specifically Sophomore Defensive End Quinton Bradley had a big day, compiling four tackles for loss and two sacks. Head Coach Paul Petrino likes what he saw up front.
"I thought our defensive line played really well," said Petrino. "Especially early, especially when they got us in passing situations. Quinton has a chance to be something really special, and any time they can play like that, we just gotta' get the lead on offense and we'll have a chance to win."
"It's a lot to take in," said Bradley. "When you're coming in, you're not used to working that hard, you're not going to make it. So, it's really a mind, it's a process. Day by day, step by step."
The Vandals started two-a-days Monday morning and will continue them up until Saturday's second scrimmage of the fall.
