Vandals split double-header with Eastern Washington
CHENEY -- Idaho Vandals basketball split a double-header with the Eastern Washington Eagles on Friday.
Vandal men won, winning 58-51, while the women lost 71-64.
For the women, the Eagles scored 17 points off Vandals turnovers.
But, on a bright note, Taylor Pierce joined teammates Mikayla Ferenz and Gerry McCorkell to score 1,000 points in her career.
Idaho men were down big in the first half; Eagles lead 20-6 early but they mounted a comeback.
Vic Sanders lead the team in scoring with 18 points, and had nine rebounds.
