Earlier this week, LCSC outfielder Ryan Sells was awarded the NAIA west region's Red Lion 'Player of the Week' for good reason. In their recent road trip to California and Oregon, Sells went 10-for-22 at the plate for a 4four-55 batting average, and tacked on three home runs, nine runs batted in, ten runs scored, two doubles and a stolen base.
Most notably was his game against Menlo College on March 24th, where he hit three home runs in consecutive at-bats. He reflects on that day.
"I just remember getting on the bus after that third home run and then I'm like wow, this is so surreal," said Sells. "I just can't believe I did it, I just remember rounding third and I'm coming in the dugout and everyone is just hitting me on the helmet and it was just the best feeling and not anything I'll ever forget."
Sells and the rest of the team will be back at home for a four-game series against Concordia University starting this Friday at 6:00 p.m.
