Warriors downed Western Oregon Friday 7-2 game

LEWISTON, ID - The 4-0 Warrior Baseball team should have started their third series of the season Friday, but we can all just be grateful that the weather let us start the second.

The 5-3 Western Oregon Wolves took the field against the undefeated Lewis-Clark State Warriors in a game that started out well for the home team as lead-off man Ryan Sells blasted a home run with the second pitch of the game, while Cody Lavalli smacked a two-run double in the same inning.

The Warriors added two more runs in the fourth with a Michael Sexton RBI single and a sac fly by sells. Cody Weiss added another run with an RBI double in the seventh, and Joe Mello capped the team's scoring with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Starting pitcher Michael Noteware would get his first win of the season, as the Warriors beat Western Oregon 7-2.
