Women sweep and the men split
MOSCOW, ID —
Both Idaho men’s and women’s basketball teams beat the Portland Sate Vikings on Thursday night.
The women’s victory extended their winning streak to five games.
They are now above .500 (11-10 record) for the first time all season and they have a 7-3 conference record.
Right now, they are in a four-way tie for second place.
Idaho guard Mikayla Ferenz said the Big Sky is “kind of a mess, right now” because of the teams who can potentially win it.
The Idaho men avenged their at-the-buzzer loss to PSU earlier this year with a 97-88 win.
This win split the series.
Bj Blake and Vic Sanders both scored more than 20-points. Blake had a game-high 28 while Sanders had 22.
The men are also 7-3 in Big Sky play.
