WSU baseball caps off four-game series against San Jose with huge victory

PULLMAN, WA - The Cougar hardball team keep notching their way back to 500, and their last home stand certainly helped.

After winning two of three games over Thursday through Saturday against the Spartans, the Washington State baseball team capped off a four-game series against San Jose State with a huge16-3 victory on Sunday.

The Cougars pounded out a season-high 20 hits to go along with that season-high 16 runs on Sunday. Leading the way for the Cougs was second baseman Ian Sagdal, who went four-of-five at the plate, knocking in four runs while getting across the plate once himself. Also helping the cause was left fielder Ben Roberts who was 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBI's and two runs.

The 12-13 Cougars will play a three-game home series against PAC-12 foe Cal starting this Friday at 6 p.m.
