WSU Spring practice at Martin Stadium went well

PULLMAN, WA - It's like they never even left the field...that's right, Cougar football is back!

The Washington State University football team met for the first time since their Bowl game loss with the Coug's first spring practice. New faces collided with old faces, though not literally as they haven't gone full pads yet, as freshman got their first chance to play with the big boys in Martin Stadium. The team went through a full practice, with special teams, individual drills, and a full team offense versus defense reunion towards the end...two big names on the team discuss day one.

"Went good, thought it was a very good start," said WSU Head Coach Mike Leach. "Everybody started quick and was pretty alert and attentive and obviously we got a lot of work done in the off season but really good effort all the way around."

"First day of practice, we're only running one play which is six, which is four verts so there's gonna be some mistakes here and there but overall it went well," said WSU quarterback, Connor Halliday.
