WSU Women's Soccer wrap up season with honors

PULLMAN, WA - The Cougar Women's Soccer team made a huge statement this season and are being recognized for it.

The Washington State Women's Soccer team went 14-3-4 this year, and made an NCAA postseason appearance for the fifth time in six seasons. Washington State senior forward Micaela Castain and Cougar Head coach Keidane Mcalpine were named best in the PAC-12 for 2013, the first honor of each kind for Washington State in the PAC-10/12 era.

Castain was also named to the All-PAC-12 First Team, senior defender Rachael Doyle and junior midfielder Nicole Setterlund garnered All-PAC-12 Second Team, while red-shirt freshman defender Susie White grabbed a spot on the PAC-12 All-Freshman Team.

Washington State hosted Illinois in the first round and was eliminated on penalty kicks,it was the first NCAA postseason match in Pullman since 2000.
