Foss ends Hounds hopes and dreams at SunDome
YAKIMA, WA —
Three years ago the Pullman Greyhounds made a trip to the Yakima Sundome and they didn’t leave town until they held a championship trophy in their hands. Making their first trip back to the Dome today would prove to be one heck of a challenge, but all that stood between them and another title was three more wins.
The Greyhounds in the state quarters today going against the Foss Falcons. First quarter, Foss Breto Gittens steals the pass and takes it to the hole for the slam dunk! Falcons had the early lead. Later in the first, Pullman down 9-5, Jake Cillay with the jumper, cuts the deficit to two at 9-7.
Greyhounds still behind in the opening stages when Isiah Strong finds Jared Anderson who hits the three, makes it a one-point game. Pullman jumping ahead, Jacob Wells all three of these and Pullman found themselves up by four.
But the Falcons would take over in the second half. They go on to beat the Hounds, ending their hopes of a state title, 84-69.
