CLARKSTON VS. PULLMAN BOYS SOC.jpg

SOCCER:

CLARKSTON VS. PULLMAN – In a game that came down to the wire, the Pullman Greyhounds not only won the 2018 Great Northern League title, but they also earned a ticket to the state title tournament, beating Clarkston 2-1.

Pullman lead 1-0 in the second half, then Clarkston’s Theo Baiye tied the game with 12-minutes remaining.

With the game looking like it’d go into overtime, off a corner kick, Pullman’s Mike Larson hit a header with less than two-minutes left for the go ahead lead.

In the waning seconds, Clarkston looked like they had a chance, but Pullman’s Braden Patrick got the goal that would end the game.

Hounds finished as regular season and tournament GNL champions.

Clarkston will play a play-in game for state.
