Pullman High School hires new girls’ basketball coach
PULLMAN, WA —
Pullman High School basketball fans have plenty to be excited about.
Amy Jalaweia-Singh was named the newest head girls basketball coach.
She was a former player for UCLA in the early 90s, then was an assistant coach for Portland State, UCLA and a community college.
It’s been over a decade since she last coached (according to Pullman Athletic Director Chris Franklin, it was because she wanted to start a family) but Franklin says he and the Pullman community is thrilled to have her experience.
Not to mention, with a team graduating only three seniors, and a lot of experience coming back, Pullman could be in the mix in an already competitive Great Northern League.
