Troy comes up short in Idaho 1A Championship

In high school volleyball, the Troy Trojans had to fight its way back to the state championship after losing early.

On Saturday, the Trojans played three games to get back to state supremacy.

They beat Challis and Ambrose 3-0 then ran into some trouble.

In the state championship game, they took on the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs.

A team that didn’t even lose a set in the entire state tournament.

Mustangs won the first two sets, but the Trojans took the third.

But that was the only set the Trojans won, losing in four sets.

Horseshoe Bend won the 1A Division-1 state championship, while Troy finished second in the state.
