The LC Twins won the regional, now they are headed to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina.

The Twins beat the host team Missoula Mavericks twice in the tournament and the championship game was a close one.

With LC down 5-4 in going into the bottom of the ninth, the bats showed up.

Luke White hit a double that scored Alex Light, tying the ball game at five.

Then with base loaded, Danny Robinson hit the walk-off RBI that made the Twins the victor.

Head coach Kevin Mauer is honored to have his team represent the Pacific Northwest.

"It's special that this group of 16, came from our community.” Mauer said via phone call. “They get to represent, not only Lewiston, where they grew up, where they were raised, but they are also able to represent now the whole northwest."

The Twins will play later on this week.
