Brewers score 24 runs in blowout of Mariners
MARYVALE, AZ —
Spring is in the air, so let’s head out to Maryvale Park in Arizona. Mariners visiting the Brewers today and Hisahi Iwakuma on the mound and he’d get hit hard!
It started in the first, Kirk Nieuwenhuis blasting this one to deep right center. It karooms off the base of the wall, Keon Broxton and Jesus Aguilar come in for a 2-1 Cactus crew lead.
More of the same in the very next inning. Iwakuma leaving it up for the former Bucco Keon Broxton and that ball is absolutely crushed, a big two-run big fly made it 4-1.
Kuma gave up seven earned over two 2/3 innings but the Brewers were hardly getting started.
Fourth inning it’s now 10-1 Brewers and add two more to that total. Orlando Arcia showing a little pop, believe it or not, the Brewers would lead this thing 24-1 in the seventh.
But we did manage to find a highlight from the M’s. Daniel Vogelbach, he’s trying to earn one of those opening day roster spots and this won’t hurt. His first on the year but the M’s non-competitive today in the road loss to Milwaukee.
