Mariners go into extra with the Sox
SEATTLE, WA —
The Mariners took on the Boston Red Sox in game two of the three game series but nine innings just weren't enough for these two.
The Mariners started out hot, on the mound and at the dish. Guillermo Heredia sent a three-run birdy flying deep for a home-run. Mariners up 3-0. But Boston ended up fighting back scoring three runs in the sixth to give Boston its first lead of the game. In the seventh Mike Zunino wasn't about being down, he hit a home-run to tie the game at four.
Since no one else could crack the tie they went into extra innings.
Mariners come out on top with a final score of 6-5.
