Mariners score two in 9th, pick up first win of '17
SEATTLE, WA —
Last night’s hero, George Springer, and the Houston Astros looking to sweep Seattle right out of town. M’s already down a run in the 3rd when Mitch Haniger swings and launches this shot off Joe Musgrove out to left and gone and the game was square at one apiece. Now Houston would regain that lead on this Marwin Gonzalez long ball in the bottom half of that inning but the game would stay that way all the way up until the ninth and that’s when the Mariners are gonna do things we expected them to do the last three days. Jarrod Dyson muscling this one into the gap in left field. Taylor Motter scores to make it 3-2. But you can never be comfortable with a one run lead so just two batters later, like a good neighbor, Segura is there. Guillermo Heredia comes on in and the Mariners, it took them four days but they finally have their first win of the season.
