Seattle ends July hot
SEATTLE, WA —
For the first time since late June, the Seattle Mariners are above .500. Seattle won the first game, in the three-game series with the Texas Rangers, ending the month vastly different than how they started.
Texas drew first, Rougned Odor slapped a two-run homer in the bottom of the first, to give the Rangers the 2-0 lead.
Then, the next at bat, Adrian Beltre. Beltre became the first Dominican born player to get into the 3,000 hits club. He joined the club on Sunday.
Back to the action, in the bottom of the sixth, with Seattle down one, Leonys Martin gets an RBI triple, tying the game at four.
Bottom of the ninth, Cano hit a two-run single and despite getting ruled out, two runners came home to give Seattle the lead.
Seattle wins game one six-to-four.
