Dahmen fades over weekend to finish 48th at Pebble Beach
PEBBLE BEACH, CA —
Golfing in just his fourth PGA Tour event, Clarkston native Joel Dahmen led the pack for much of days one and two of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am in Northern California but playing in treacherous conditions, Dahmen just couldn’t sustain his success through the weekend.
After carding a four-under 68 to open the tournament, Dahmen shot a combined one over the rest of the way to finish tied for 48th overall at three-under par. After making his first career cut, Dahmen placed higher than PGA regulars like Phil Mickelson, Stewart Cink and Jim Furyk to improve his overall world ranking from 572nd to 516th.
Dahmen now ranks 201st out of 230 in the FedEx Cup standings heading into next week. Jordan Spieth won this weekend’s event, it was his first win on the year.
