Seattle Quarterback steps onto Texas Rangers baseball field

SEATTLE, WA - I mentioned it last Friday, and Monday it became official...Russell Wilson has moved onto the baseball diamond.

But again, don't worry Seahawks fans, quarterback Russell Wilson is not becoming a full-time member of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers, despite seeing him fielding with the team Monday morning. Though Wilson did participate in fielding drills with the team, he was mainly there for motivation, talking with the team about preparation, playing football and baseball, education, family, and faith.

The Rangers spent $12,000 to draft Wilson from Colorado in the minor league portion of the rule 5 draft not necessarily to play, but to do exactly what he has been doing since he arrived at camp Sunday night, motivate and inspire.
