Sounders host Championship march in downtown Seattle
SEATTLE, WA —
On Saturday the Seattle Sounders won the organizations first ever MLS Cup with their shootout win over Toronto and today (Tuesday) the Sounders brought the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy back where it belongs!
The team held a march and rally that began at 11:00AM Tuesday morning. The march spanned the streets from Westlake Park all the way to the Seattle Center. Fans sang and chanted in pure jubilation as the Sounders paraded through town on trollies.
At least two fans were arrested for attempting to enter the Sounders trolley while another officer sustained injuries after being hit by one of the trollies.
