Yoenis Cespedes wins the Home Run Derby Championship

New York City, NY - A big sorry to Mariners fans who were getting excited as the momentum the M's were building towards the end of the first half of baseball, but it's All-Star break time.

New York's Citi Field where the Mets roam was the site, and let's jump to the final round between the 20-year-old phenom, Bryce Harper, of the Washington Nationals. He is only able to total eight home runs in the final round. Then Harper gave his pitcher, who just so happens to be his father, a big hug.

Enter the Oakland A's power hitter, Yoenis Cespedes, who smashes that shot to left field for his eighth to tie Harper. All he needs is one more...and boom there it is...the ninth home run and Yoenis Cespedes is the 20-13 Home Run Derby Champion beating out Harper and six others. The All-Star action continues with the All-Star game Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
