The initial report from NFL Media columnist Mike Silver said Browner violated the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs, but Silver later retracted that declaration, stating the violation was for the league's substance abuse policy.
ESPN's Adam Schefter is Tweeting that Browner's suspension will be for one year and he is appealing:

On Sunday, NFL.com reported that Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond will also serve a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse (Non-PED) policy.
The Seahawks have the NFL's best record at 10-1 and face the New Orleans Saints next Monday night.
