Seahawks ink Lacy to one-year deal
SEATTLE, WA —
After spending virtually, the entire 2016 season battling through injuries in the backfield, the Seattle Seahawks have sured up the position by added some depth at the spot this morning with the addition of Eddie Lacy.
The former Alabama product had spent his last four seasons with the Green Bay Packers where he ran for over 1,000 yards and 20 total touchdowns in his first two years in the league. The deal for Lacy is a one-year contract worth $5.5 million, three of which is guaranteed.
Lacy was on the fast track to another 1,000 plus yard year in 2016 before an ankle injury derailed his season in week six. Lacy will join a now crowded backfield that includes third-year Pro Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise.
