Academi All-Star: Brad Bailey

KLEW cares about you. That's why every week we feature a local student who is excelling in and out of the classroom.

This week's Academic All-Star is Brad Bailey from Asotin High School.

Brad Bailey is, like most Academic All-Stars, a busy high school senior.

Brad Bailey, "I'm taking dual credit in government and English this semester. I'm doing cross-country right now and then I'll be doing track this spring."

He's also the FFA chapter president, participating in parliamentary procedure and livestock judging.

Bailey says, "I've travelled all over the nation doing that."

Between all that, Brad has managed to keep up a 3.62 GPA and could be moving to Bozeman next year.

Bailey says, "I've been accepted to Montana State University and then I'm looking at, I want to go to Eastern Washington. I'm looking at being a financial advisor."

He says that career choice comes from an interest in business and helping people. And that's not the only way this Asotin Panther is giving back.

Bailey says, "I'm getting trained to be a firefighter and EMT right now."

That means eight hours of training a couple of times a month. Like I said, this guy is busy. But he's also humble.

Bailey says, "There's just a lot of good people in Asotin who've helped me out all through."
