101 Deadliest Days of Driving
MOSCOW, ID —
Memorial Day starts the 100 deadliest days of driving and it ends with Labor Day.
Idaho State Police tells KLEW News that this is when they see in an increase in serious injury and fatality crashes.
Patrol Sergeant Rich Adamson said, “your number one causes for serious injury and fatality crashes your contributing factors are your impaired driving, aggressive driving, distracted driving and one of the best defenses in surviving any crash is occupants wearing seatbelts and of course the biggest causes of the distracted driving is cellphones."
The department has received grants from Highway Safety to increase patrols.
