"Not sure yet where I want to go, but I want to major in environmental science and minor in Spanish," Ashe said.

Her passion for the environment runs in the family.

"My mom's a fisheries biologist so I get all my insight and stuff from her and kind of follow in her footsteps," Ashe said.

And with a 3.9 GPA, she still finds the time to play high school soccer and travels to Spokane twice a week for club soccer practice.

"One of the people I looked up to was Maddie Haas and she now plays at a d-1 school at U of I," she said.

And like Maddie Haas, she's team captain and MVP.

During the summer, she likes to volunteer. Ashe volunteers in soup kitchens and travels for mission trips to different places in the world.

"Mexico is where it hits home because you meet all these kids that are so happy that have nothing and you realize how blessed we are," Ashe said. "I mean, we build them this 11 by 22 shed and that’s their home and when we give them the keys they cry because that's the nicest thing they've ever lived in," she said.

She’s hoping to someday change the world by making the environment better.
