KENDRICK, ID — This week’s CCI Speer “Academic All-Star” is from Kendrick High School.
She loves to sing and will go far in her future endeavors.
Meet Rachel Olson. She is one of four valedictorians with a 4.0 GPA.
There was no hesitation when she was asked what her favorite subject is, she had a great explanation.
“Our teacher is really great, and English has always been a favorite subject of mine,” said Rachel. “I love reading and writing and just everything that's in English class. We always have really interesting discussions and read a lot of plays and short stories.”
Rachel has also been a part of Business Professionals of America and the Tiger Pride Community Club.
Rachel’s class voted for her to be in a leadership position. “I am our class president and I have been for the past 2 years,” she said.
Rachel is also active in sports. “I am in volleyball and track. Previously I have played basketball but this year I was one of the team managers.”
Rachel’s future plans after high school? “I am planning to go to the University of Idaho for management and human resources.”
Congratulations Rachel Olson. You’re this week’s CCI Speer Academic All-Star.
Rachel competes in the one mile and two-mile races in track. Rachel also shared how a school secretary influenced her career path as either human resources or maybe a school secretary.
