NEZPERCE, ID — This week’s CCI Speer “Academic All-Star” is so full of life and energy, I can’t imagine her every saying that she’s bored. Keep in mind, this is just the tip of her mountain of involvement.
Jillian Lux will graduate with a 4.0 GPA at Nezperce High School and is one of three valedictorians this year.
Jillian’s favorite class is psychology and I asked her why?
“Cause I know I wanted to go into mental health,” said Jillian. “So, I was like okay this is what I want to study so I just really enjoy learning about people's problems and what makes people.”
Jillian is involved with 4H, FFA vice-president, and is the schools ASB president with many duties.
“Being on committees, running pep rallies, speaking to the school, and trying to get people involved,” said Jillian.
On top of everything else, Jillian plays volleyball, basketball, track and is the Nezperce Swim Team Coach.
“During summer I coach swim team, there are quite a few kids on it,” said Jillian. “So, that's one of my favorite things to do.”
After graduation, Arizona State University is calling.
“I'm going to study psychology and health and fitness sciences. Hoping to teach swimming lessons around Arizona State,” she said.
Congratulations Jillian Lux, you’re this week’s CCI Speer Academic All-Star!
Jillian’s big life plan is to have her own business with a gym and counseling office so she can help people.
