LEWISTON, ID — The Christmas Connection made the holidays for hundreds of local families that much warmer last Saturday December eighth.
The Christmas Connection provides donated toys, food, and Christmas presents for those less fortunate.
One of the volunteers Angela Johnson said 12 years ago, she herself fell on hard times, and she’s been paying it forward ever since.
“12 years ago, I was in a rough spot and I was actually a work study program at St. Vincent in Clarkston when I first signed up,” said Angela. “What you see today brings just enough Christmas joy at least there's something under the tree when otherwise there might not be something underneath the tree.”
Part of the thrill of the Christmas Connection is a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.
They helped 596 families, that’s twenty-two hundred people.
