In Lewiston local students got the chance to see into the past with documents from nearly 60 years ago. Students of All Saints Catholic School sang “This Little Light of Mine” after staff opened up the Cornerstone of the outside of the building Tuesday.

One of the stones dates back to 1909, and other documents came from 1958 & 1959, including a phone book, the Lewiston Morning Tribune paper from 1909, and a picture of the first communion class of 1959.

“When the Knights of Columbus hall was torn down to make room for the school additions, the original cornerstone from that building from 1909 was placed here in 1959,” said Principal Denise Hammrich.
