Family, ICSO Offers Reward for Info in Pankey Disappearance
Through the generosity of the community, the family of a missing woman now has thousands of dollars to continue searching and to take care of her little girl.
A July 28th fundraiser for Shawnta Pankey, the 25-year-old Grangeville mother missing since April, was a huge success, per the event's organizer. Around 250 people attended, raising $15,000 from ticket sales and auction items; all the auction items were donated by businesses and individuals.
Shawnta's family says they'll use that money for expenses related to previous searches, such as paying a private investigatos, as well as starting a fund for Shawnta's six-year-old daughter. The other use for the proceeds is one they hope will lead to a break in the case. Through the Idaho County Sheriff's Office, Shawnta's family is offering a $3,500 reward to anyone who provides info that leads to her return - alive or not.
The reward could double if info leads to an arrest or conviction in this case.
All tips should be made through the Idaho County Sheriff's Office - not the family.
