Former Lewiston resident arrested for sexual acts with a minor
A former Lewiston man who now lives in California is behind bars after police say he drove back to the valley to engage in sexual acts with a minor.
Tuesday, police in Lermoore, California arrested 24-year-old Jessie Daniel Barnes.
Police say Barnes was involved in an online relationship with a 16-year-old who he’s been sexting with for the past three months.
According to police, Barnes drove from California to Lewiston between November 26 and November 30 where he’s accused of engaging in sexual acts with the minor at a local motel.
Police were able to retrieve lude messages, videos, and pictures between the two, from the victim.
LPD was notified after Barnes was already heading back to California, that’s where Lermoore police arrested him.
Barnes is now facing multiple sex-related charges and is being held in California.
