CLARKSTON, Wash. – The "I Made the Grade” bike ride is less than a month away.
Riders start at Chief Timothy Park and make their way over the Red Wolf Bridge, with the finish line atop the Old Spiral Highway.
It's an 18-mile ride, eclipsing 2,000 feet of elevation.
The event is a fundraiser for the Clarkston Wesleyan Church.
"I Made the Grade is actually a fundraiser for Elevate basketball camp. It's a valley-wide no-charge basketball camp for all children coming up in July,” Director of the event, Pastor David Pfnister said.
He had an important message about safety during the ride.
Traffic control, like flaggers, is only provided through noon.
So, the organizers ask you to know your own limitations, be mindful, and pay attention to your surroundings while riding.
The ride is on June 10th.
Registration is $39, and you can register online here, or in person the day of at Chief Timothy Park.
Gates will open at 6:00 a.m. for that same day registration. Bikers Lineup 7:00 a.m. and race starts at 8:00 a.m.
The organizers will not provide rides back to the starting line.
