A City of Lewiston employee entered a guilty plea Wednesday in Nez Perce County District Court for Excessive DUI with four children in the car. She also entered a guilty plea for Injury to a Child. Both are misdemeanors.

Back in July, Laura Von Tersch, the director of Community Development was stopped by a police officer and arrested for driving under the influence.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Von Tersch was leaving a restaurant in the Lewiston Orchards, when she hit a vehicle and tried to flee the scene. Officers arrived and did a field sobriety test, which they said she failed. They then used the breathalyzer, and her B.A.C. came back as .249 which is three times the legal limit.

Sentencing is set for December 5 at 2:00 P.M.
