KLEW Cares Blood Drive: Aiming for Record Year in 2018
For the fourth year in a row, KLEW is partnering with Inland Northwest Blood Center for a community blood drive.
One pint of blood can save up to three lives, and you've been rolling up your sleeves to save lives for the last four years at the annual KLEW Cares Blood Drive.
It started in 2015, when 20 generous donors showed up, providing 16 units of blood for INBC.
2016 was our most successful by far: 19 units of blood were donated. It was two times the number of donors projected by INBC! Maybe it was the story of baby Emma, who relied on blood transfusions after she was born with half a heart.
Our 2017 drive helped save around 36 lives with 12 units of whole blood coming from the 3rd annual blood drive.
INBC is the only blood provider for 35 hospitals across the Inland Northwest, and 70% of our that blood supply comes from blood drives like this one. That means when you roll up your sleeve with KLEW, you're making a difference in your community.
The 4th annual KLEW Cares Blood Drive is Wednesday, July 18th, from 3:45 to 7 P.M. at KLEW studios, 2626 17th Street. For more information on how to register online, visit inbcsaves.org or call Inland Northwest Blood Center directly at (800) 423-0151.
