Lewiston Tribune newspaper carriers shot at near Lapwai
LAPWAI, ID —
An investigation is underway into who shot at two local paper carriers while they were just doing their jobs.
A spokesperson for the Nez Perce Tribe confirms, a report was taken that two shots were fired somewhere on Lapwai Road early Monday morning.
Additional information comes from the Lewiston Tribune. Paper carriers Donna and Dane Correll say it happened on their ususal paper route but it was too dark to see where the shots were coming from.
The Corrells told their employer that after they realized someone was shooting at them, they drove back into Lapwai to report it to Nez Perce Tribal Police.
The couple later discovered three bullets had entered their truck. Luckily no one was hurt in the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
