Man sentenced for firing shots at people in Kendrick

Brooks Lacates plead guilty to aggravated assault.

A man accused of shooting at several people in Kendrick, Idaho, after they complained about his dangerous joy ride through town has been sentenced.

Latah County deputies say last spring, 27-year old Brooks Lacates was speeding through town doing donuts in his pickup truck. After people confronted him about it, Lacates shot at their feet and then fired a shot in the air.

Latah County Sheriff’s ended up arresting him.

Lacates plead guilty to aggravated assault. He was sentenced to a month behind bars and three years’ probation.

Deputies say alcohol was involved.
