A generous donation from a local business helped boost the Northwest Children’s Home “Red Stocking” campaign.

Happy Day Corporation donated more than $7,000 and presented the check January 3. The money was raised through the Happy Day Restaurants by customers donating just $1.00 during the month of December.

Northwest Children’s Home say this shows how strong community support is for the kids.

“They understand the needs of our kids; our kids don't want to be here,” said Hy’d Andrews. “They're here because something horrible happened to them and so we need the community support in this way to help us do what we do to help build a brighter future for the kids.”

The Northwest Children’s Home is a private, non-profit residential treatment center for abused, neglected or abandoned children in need of mental health services. They offer quality short and long-term therapeutic and educational services.
