Palouse Prairie Charter School Ground Breaking


Palouse Prairie Charter broke ground on their brand new k thru 8th grade school.

406 Powers Street in Moscow will be the new location.

No longer using a building that use to be a furniture store as a classroom setting.

After the principal used the ceremonious gold shovel with the help of two kindergarteners and every student got a chance to break ground.

The new building will be ecofriendly and have an indoor climbing facility.

The school is excited to be surrounded by green space for their farm to table school lunch program.

“We only receive state funds and the way we’ve been able to fund his building is really through saving for several years and also through our capital campaign which has been going on for a couple years so it’s taken a lot of parent and community members support.” Principal Jeneille Branen said.

The construction will begin in August.

The new school will be officially open in the fall of 2019, until then the school will continue to lease at their current location.
