Precautionary Boil Order in Moscow
MOSCOW, ID —
A precautionary boil order is in place in certain areas of Moscow.
KLEW News spoke with City Deputy Director Tyler Palmer who said this is precautionary after putting in the new White Avenue water line.
Notices have been sent to the 40 home and businesses that receive service from this line.
They are still flushing and testing the line which is why they recommend boiling the water until they get the final results around the end of this week.
Palmer said, "If people within that area would like the city to provide drinking water bottled water we are happy to do that as well."
If residents in the affected area do start feeling any flu like symptoms after drinking the water it might be a good idea to get checked out by a doctor.
City officials said at this time there is no reason to believe there is anything wrong, just take precautions.
