Pullman City Council votes to allow recreational fires
PULLMAN, WA —
In Pullman, small recreational fires are now allowed in the city without an inspection and a permit.
Pullman City Council voted to do away with requirements that fire pits must pass inspection and homeowners need to obtain a permit, which falls in line with the state of Washington regulations.
Recreational fires in the city of Pullman can only burn firewood, dura-flame or presto logs, or charcoal.
Recreational fires must be at least 25 feet away from a structure and be at least ten feet from property lines.
Citizens are asked to remember that burning yard waste is still illegal in the city of Pullman.
