STEM Showcase featured hi-tech projects from high school teams

LEWISTON, ID - The L-C campus was home to several bright minds Wednesday night, as high school students from around the region showed off their skills in science, technology, engineering and math.

The STEM Showcase involved teams from Lewiston and Moscow competing for the 'Best In-Show.' Each team presented information about their hi-tech project... its design and manufacturing.

"It's a seven foot airplane that's designed to be easily built for around $15," said Moscow High School Sophomore, Will Brehm. "It was built by us within a pretty short amount of time. We're pretty proud of that."

"I brought the urban search and rescue robot that's basically a miniature version of the actual search and rescue like disposing of the bomb," said Lewiston High School student Austin Kuhn.

Both teams walked away with $750. However, the ultimate winner for the day went to Moscow High School which received an additional $1,000.
